Jen set to record LOL (Lots of Love)

Another important project unexpectedly arrived for rising Bacolod City-based pop singer, Jen Sanchez in December 2013 when she was chosen by independent Australian songwriter-producer Peter Smith through his friends Lisa Manuel and Australian philanthropist Ralph Lente who were staying in Iloilo City to record one of his original copyrighted songs entitled "LOL (Lot of Love)." As early as October last year, the couple Lisa Manuel and Ralph Lente visited one of the locations for the video shoot of the tourism song "Lagaw 'Ta (Experience Western Visayas)."  Right there and then, they were impressed by the ingenuity and talent of local music artists dedicating themeselves to uplift the tourism industry and promote local music to the world through the tourism song. They proposed to RSLPhoenix Music creative director, Ronelo Ladiao to choose one female artist in the long list of 30 artists who participated in "Lagaw 'Ta" who can reinterpret and record Peter Smith's song. The opportunity to finalize the project happened during their important meeting with Hampang Productions and Kuris Animation in December last year. Jen came all the way from Bacolod City to finally hear for herself that she was chosen to perform and record the pop-infectious song "LOL" written and composed by the Australian songwriter. Jen was overwhelmed to hear that her special project to record a song written by a foreign songwriter was formally given to her. Two days after, Jen with the help of Hampang Productions sent a sample video performance of the song and a snippet video clip was posted in her youtube account. More than a week later, songwriter Peter Smith replied with enthusiasm and positive approval of Jen's infectious reinterpretation of the song through the sample video performance. On the second week of January 2014, Jen had a final meeting with Peter's friends in the Philippines, Lisa and Ralph to finally confirmed that she can start recording the song and will soon shoot a music video for the song before summer. Peter Smith will be the executive producer of the song and the possible "epic" music video set to be directed by Ramjun Valasote of Hampang Productions.

Step by step, Jen is slowly fulfilling her dream in music and she is able to share inspiration to other young artists to never give up with their aspirations. She is excited to finally record the song, promote it and shoot the music video early this year.
